In this strange environment, people are coming up with new ways to create and connect. Digital and Tech entrepreneurial hopefuls seem plentiful and all of these people want and need the same thing: Information. Smart networkers know that although content is king- you needn't rely on original content alone. Yes, it helps if you can provide some thought leadership and opinion of value, but it isn't necessary to churn out volumes of original content every day. Simply curating and commenting on existing content and helping like-minded people wade through the informational over-load is a a valuable service. Once you establish yourself as a credible source of quality content, you can expand your network. As long as you provide something of value to an audience- they'll ask for more. The following blog is about young people who started a site called Under 30 CEO. These people started in their dorms and homes curating content (creating some as well). Reinventing and re-purposing what was widely available, building a network with trust and credibility. The blog talks about how the content they curate and promote has given them access to a broad network of people around the world. Essentially, social media at work, making the world a smaller place.

In an effort to school senior executives in technology, social media and the latest workplace trends, many businesses are pairing upper management with younger employees in a practice known as reverse mentoring. The trend is taking off at a range of companies, from tech to advertising.

The Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu, who have foraged a cross-global friendship, were able to have a video conversation (along with many many others listening in). On one hand this seems like something so simple, a meeting between friends; a social engagement. On the other hand, this is symbolic on so many levels. The technology that has enabled this is amazing in itself but coupled with the collaborative and inclusive spirit that these two people exemplified in this meeting, it gives hope for great possibilities in the future. Collaboration enabled by technology is opening doors for change- if these two old guys can see the power in that, imagine what else is possible.
Well Keetin,
I received your application package today, and I must say it I was blown away by your presentation style. In the same why the Brown sisters innovated the video resume, you took it up to an even higher level...nice work. The voting urn with the votes was great...Very clever video also, I will be sure to show it to Jeff. We also need a couple jpg photos, that you can e-mail to me, for the selection process.
You mailed the package to our old offices, but it arrived in time to still be in the running, our cut off date is Monday March 28.
We will let you know, one way or another, within the next couple weeks. Very good Job Keetin,
